Cheer chen's 'A piece of summer' concert last night was fantastic.
1st hour was her acoustic set followed by her fast songs. Never expected the crowd to be so 'high'. Everybody were basically standing and jumping on their seats. I too, had to stand on my seat as people in front were blocking my view.
5 encores altogether. Lights came on after the 4th one and everyone were walking out when suddenly the die hard fans who were still chanting for encores and who still didn't want to leave started screaming. Cheer and her mates came out again and gave a final encore.
Great songs, awesome performance.

Had an enjoyable day today. Had lunch wif the girls at Botak Jones Clementi before heading to SL's house. Beemer and Cooper are sooo handsome! (her german shepherd dogs) They're freaking huge as well. Played Nintendo Wii, had the tennis and boxing games. Great fun. Proceeded to Marina for kite flying in the late noon. I got my $15 kite for free! Tat uncle forgot to charge me. Wahaha! Too bad it wasn't windy. 4 girls running around trying to get their kites into the sky... haha.. it wasn't a pretty sight. Gave up kite flying and played frisbee instead. We ended at ard 6 and i met up wif family for dinner over at Paragon as Alfred got his promotion.
Am dead tired now. School's starting tomorrow, and i don't feel like going!!

The sisters and i had our usual sundays badminton match, except that mum joined us as well for 1/2 hr. Tiring, but well worth it.
Had ktv at 3pm over at International building's party world. Great. We were kinda "high" at 1 song and while dancing i accidentally knocked over the cup of bubbletea over SL's sandals and Jas's shoes. Not Great.
Had a great dinner over at bottle-tree restaurant. Nice.
Kite-flying next sunday. Can't wait!

My results were released at 2pm just now and thank God i managed to pass all of them. Marks aren't that good though, but am glad i don't need to repeat any of them. Will go to sch on the 14th to attend some enrolment session for next semester.

I've taken up photography lately. Since there's nothing much to do this holidays, why not take it up? Dad's been helping me alot with it, he lent me his old Nikon SLR which still uses the 35mm film. I don't mind expect it can be quite hard to judge how ur photos will turn out. But hey, beggers can't be choosers. Besides that's how people learn before digital SLR came out.
Been reading alot about it, and last night dad actually went to dig out his very first camera and photography notes to me. Either he got them even before I was born or when I was just a few months old. They're real antiques man, haha.

Uniqlo just opened their flagship store in SoHo New York. Great. So when are they opening one in Singapore? I'm a fan of theirs. During the HK trip last month, mum and I swept lots of stuffs there. Muji just opened a new store over at Paragon. Maybe they should consider opening Uniqlo? We should have more Japanese clothing brands here. Besides, our sizes are almost similar compared to European or American brands.

Yesterday was mummy's 51st birthday. Celebrated by having bowling and then dinner at Pepper Lunch. Bowling was fantastic.. so many funny incidents happened and thank goodness i managed to capture them down on camera. Mum said it was the most enjoyable birthday she had. Glad that she enjoyed it. =)

Finally finished my last test, Marketing Principles, today. Though it was a true/false paper, it was rather tricky. For any wrong answers, you'll get half mark deducted instead of the usual 0 marks for any wrong answers. Hopefully i can pass this paper cos my Account's a gonner. Got back my MacroE results today. I managed to get distinctions, but it was a multiple-choice paper lah. Ha! But still, it's 30% for my overall.
Been spending the last couple of weeks at home studying. Decided to unwind myself after the paper today by going for some window-shopping with Chris. He managed to get his t-shirt that he reserved while I decided to just looked around. Intend to spend only on thursday for the Isetan Private Sale.
I've scrapped the idea of buying the Fred Perry shoe already. Might just get the All Star white leather one. Gotta start saving as i'll be going to Hong Kong middle of Oct for Letty's sis wedding even though my exam's end of Oct. Mum said i should bring my books and study in the hotel. What the hell!

Right. Time for bed now. It's 2:40am already and I got to wake up in 7 hrs time for school.

Feeling so restless lately. Just bought 2 cans of Red Bull yesterday to keep myself awake. Macroeconomics and Accounts tests are coming up next week. Still have lots of reading to do. MacroE's killing everyone of us. Though it's a multiple choice test, it's still damn bloody hard. Honestly speaking i've never studied so hard for my tests before. Good to have friends that can motivate me. Ha!
Might be going to Malaysia next week after the tests to visit granny. Mum said that i should as dad's the eldest son and me, being his daughter should go see her. Hope dad can go as well so he can drive and i won't have to suffer the 9 hrs of coach ride.

My tests are coming up in 2 weeks time and I'm not prepared for it. Accounts on the 13th, MacroEconomics on 15th and Marketing Principles on the 26th. This weekend is going to be accounts weekend!!! No choice, have to start studying. Lecturer was going through the book today and there's going to be 6 chapters to be tested. Started to worry cos i have no single clue what's going on in class. I flunk my 'O' level accounts in case you din't know. I hate numbers.
Going to start on MacroE after that.

This evening dad was telling me granny could eat abit now and was removed from the drip. But when he called 3rd aunty in M'sia awhile ago, things aren't going too well. Doctors said her said her kidneys and lungs aren't functioning too well. We have to be prepared for the worse. I am going to lose my grandmother. Dad is now beginning to pack his luggage again.

Gran took care of me when i was a baby, and i'll never forget the days whereby i would sit behind on her bicycle and she would cycle me around the kampong. During the last recent trip that my parents went last week, mum explained to granny tat i was having tests and couldn't visit her. Gran smiled and nodded and said she understands. Oh God, i felt so bad and i cried when mum told me that. Can't stop crying as i'm typing all these right now. I love you Ah Ma. We're all praying for you.

Grandma's not doing very well in Malaysia. Yesterday evening dad was making his usual sunday call to her and was told she was having fever and she kept saying she's about to go. Normally those who are about to die won't say such things. I thought maybe she was having fever and was hallucinating. 1st, 2nd, 3rd aunty and 2nd uncle were all in her bedroom crying, preparing for the worse. While over here, dad too was preparing for the worse as well. I was told to pack some clothes and fill up my passport. Dad called again later and was told a doctor was called in. Granny took medication and was given a sponge bathe. Heard she was feeling abit better after that.
This morning at around 2:30am, i woke up and heard dad and mum discussing some stuffs and making calls here and there. I was told granny was unconscious and was having breathing difficulties. They decided to ahead with the journey, with gor, being the eldest grandson, going as well. They just left about 40 mins ago. Dad left instructions and money for me in case anything were to happen, i'm supposed to buy the coach tickets for both Letty and myself.
I really hope granny will be fine, hopefully she will recover in 2 to 3 days, like what mum said before she left.
Next month my schedule is packed with tests and project. This is really not the time for anything to go wrong.

Met up with Jasmine today at Holland V for dinner after school. She was so damn tired of working and decided to lie to her boss she was sick for the day. Poor girl.. work so hard and gets so little rest. Had NYDC for dinner, then proceeded to The Pizza Bar for some finger food and drinks. She treated me for that meal cos i din't have enough cash. Yikes! Then proceeded to the kopitiam for some teh-o and teh. Haha.. Talked alot on relationships, guys and some other stuffs. It's good to meet up once awhile.
Will have a mini class gathering this coming sunday. Don't know how's everyone doing. It'll be quite awkward to see each other again i guess. Will be asking/answering those same old questions again.
Damn... SooLing's will be leaving at the end of the month for England. We girls are sooo gonna miss her! 2 years! Sigh.. sunday afternoon will also be a farewell party for her.

School's fantastic man. Haha.. Was damn surprised when i saw Cindy, and now she's my groupmate. Have a nice bunch of pple for my group. 7 of us together. Cindy... whom i've known since pri sch, Marni... 1st person whom i spoke to at SIM, Hsien Ming... who happens to be my senior at Nan Hua, Colin... quite good-looking and is a damn fine gentleman lah! Hong Tat... the geekiest guy i ever know and lastly, Chris... who happens to be a club DJ and appreciates Indie music. Sweet. Finally a friend who appreciates Indie! Thanks to him, i have free songs now! Heh.

I'm gonna have a super duper long break now till 15/8. Probably catch up with my school work, hardly go thru the books since sch started. Probably get the others started on the marketing project as well.

As a football fan, I was kinda shocked at the verdict given to the Serie A clubs. Being relegated to the B division is such a huge humilation plus points deduction as well. Just a few days ago the Italy team just lifted the world cup and now the players have to suffer at the plight of their respective clubs. I mean... Juventus in B div?! Never in my life would i ever believe that. Serie A football will never be the same again.

Regarding Zidane's head-butting incident, I'll stand by Zizzou. He's a legend.

Liverpool will be having their 1st friendly match today. I'm actually quite excited though players who participated in the World Cup won't be in it. Can't wait for EPL to start!!

I had one of the best dreams last night. I actually dreamt of him! Of all people... Steven Gerrard!

It was so weird and funny. I dreamt Stevie was in my dad's car eating burger king!
I asked him, "So did you pass those balls to fat Lampard?" He din't reply, just kept in silence eating his burger.
I said, "You shouldn't have pass those balls to him. You should've just shoot them yourself."
Once again, he did not reply and just smiled at me. It's obvious Lampard was off form for this world cup.

Went for a haircut yesterday. It's about 1 inch shorter now. And i asked for a fringe as well. What a dumb ass. Now my hair looks like shite.

It is now 5:20am and i still can't sleep!
Have been watching football from 10pm to 5am just now. I am simply toooo happy to sleep. Both teams that i supported went through to the semis. It will be Portugal Vs France.
France was simply fantastic. Zidane is CLASS. The french certainly deserved to win.

My prediction for finals: Germany Vs France.

Okay, shall try to sleep now as i got to wake up in 3 hrs time to meet up with the girls. We're going to the zoo! =)

Reached home at about 1:45am just now. Went to watch the highly anticipated Germany Vs Argentina match at the kopitiam with mummy and pa. Gor called at the last minute saying he decides to sleep instead. What an ass.
I was so damn disappointed with the referee and the overall results. I was rooting for Argentina (even though i quite like Germany) all the way and i think they deserve the penalty which instead, the referee awarded a yellow card to the Argentinian instead of the German. Bloody hell! Penalty is indeed a very cruel way to decide the winner. The group of German guys at the kopitam went nuts after penalty-taking. What a sight since 80% of the 300 or so people at the kopitiam supports Argentina.

Just sitting there at kopitiam for 4 hrs have my life span cut short by 10 yrs. I was surrounded by smokers and inhaling 2nd hand smoke for the whole 4 hrs there. I think i'm starting to have sore throat now. Saw the "No-smoking" stickers on the the pillars there. Government has imposed on the ban of smoking in hawkers starting 1 July. Don't think that'll have any effect.

It was a good match between 2 top teams and it's a shame that 1 have to be out so fast at the quarter-finals. Might watch the England Vs Portugal match tmr night. (provided i can find seats!) Hope Portugal go through cos England plays boring football.

Met up with a poly friend recently. Had dinner with him on friday evening at Marina Square and then then proceeded to Chijmes to watch the Spain Vs Saudi Arabia match. Went to Bobby Rubinos cos Father Flanagan's was packed. Missed the only goal when we reached there. Ordered a jug of Heineken and i guess i had one too many. Matched ended 12am, luckily my friend was kind enough to drive me home. However, woke up at ard 3:30am wee Sat morning and puke.
Hope this friend don't get me wrong, I am only treating him as a friend. I am really getting worried cos he seems to sms me nowadays to go out him. He is simply not my type of guy.

Watched the Germany Vs Sweden at the coffee shop nearby with the whole family. Man beside was a German and of course I was rooting for them. There was also a table of Germans in front of ours, funny blokes. Mum was cursing when Larsson missed the penalty. She betted 3 goals, matched ended 2-0.
Was awoke till 3am, decided to try my luck and Argentina Vs Mexico was on TV! Only watched it till half time though.

Will go coffee shop later again for the England VS Ecuador match. I'm a Liverpool fan, but i'm not a England fan. It's a pity that either Germany or Argentina will be out only in the quarter-finals. I was hoping to see them in the semi's or finals.

Want to announce that i have officially quit my job. I will not have to tolerate that hostile environment anymore. But i do miss some of my colleagues there.
Intend to get a part-time job at a restaurant or something. Gotta support myself. Dad din't allow as he's afraid i won't be able to have time for my studies. But what to do? He's 58 and retiring soon.

Will go to SIM later to settle my course payment.

Well... decidede to pop in here for awhile. It's been ages... So many things happened and yet i'm still feeling all the same. Who can i blame for these?

I finally got to watch Oasis live in concert in Feb. Waited 10 yrs for that! Went with Jason and his friends. J and i had the $162 free-standing one. What a night to remember. Everyone were singing and shouting their lungs out, jumping and getting squashed in the crowd. Simply amazing. Read that Coldplay might be coming in July eh? Hmm... thinking of going to that one. Went to their 2001 concert, that one had Travis too!

Past 2 months had pa feeling real scared. Granny almost left us. In fact all of us were really scared. But thank God she's better now.
Mum came back from Europe not long ago. She was there for 1 bloody month. But thank goodness for the Fendi sunglasses!! =)

The EPL has officially ended last night. Liverpool's 3rd. Am very satisfied with the results. It was a huge improvement from the previous season. No more EPL now, my weekend will never be the same again. Will be looking forward to next week's FA cup final.

Borrowed some dvds today. Gonna get into my cosy bed and watch 'em now.

I had a great weekend out celebrating Jasmine's 21st birthday and me, jas, cui and qian stayed over at Sooling's place. Had dinner over at Fish&Co at Wheelocks then proceeded over to Ling's house. Holy cow, her house is HUGE and i absolutely love the swimming pool. We had karaoke marathon in the theatre room till 4am. Never sang so much in my life before.

Finally got to watch Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (CATCF)! Read the storybook when i was still in primary school and have re-read it over and over again for God-knows-how-many-times. Watched it with my bro and his wife on thursday and i absolutely LOVE it!! I wanna watch it again!! I've watched the previous CATCF movie which was made in the 70s (i think) but this latest one by Tim Burton is great!

Yesterday was Louis 21st birthday, but we celebrated in advance for him on thursday. Had dinner over at a Italian restaurant together with the girls and some of Lou's TP friends at Mama Lucia. (near dbl O) It was recommended by Jing Jing because she used to work there. I din't really enjoy the pasta i had because it was done in cream sauce and usually after awhile, you'll tend to grow sick of that whitish sauce and have a feeling of puking. But thank goodness the white wine and the NYDC cheesecake made up for it. Lou told us some ghost stories that he heard during his 2 weeks at Tekong and they were really freaky.

Lou's TP friends are a bloody funny bunch. They bought him a pineapple fruit as a present, haha. ("Ong Lai" represents wealth.) We got him a Zara sweater and a set of "Mr Tofu" figurines. I actually met up with Cuishan earlier before the dinner to get him the 2nd present. Birthday boy is very very brand conscious, so we went to A/X, Diesel, G-Star, Gas and Polo Ralph hoping to get a tee. But the price was way outta our budget. Ended up with the figurines and NYDC cake instead. Haha.. Next birthday would be Jasmine's, and we're already making plans for her day.

Read from the newspaper this morning that PM Lee went to my former secondary school yesterday for it's 88th anniversary cum opening ceremony of the new school premises. It's been 4 years since i left Nan Hua and am glad that the school has been doing exceptionally well all these years.

Managed to get the new Harry Potter storybook yesterday. (No, i did not pre-order it and queue my butt up at 5am at Borders) Like million of other kids around the world, i can't wait to know what's in store in this series. Shouldn't be reading it as i've got lot's of work to do. But what the heck, i'm quite a Potter maniac. Dad actually drove me to the bookstore to get the book as i was afraid they might run out of copies. Come to think of it, i'm no different compared to the other anxious 10-year-old Harry Potter fans, except that i'm a decade and a yr older. *Gasp*

My cousin brought Troy over to my place this afternoon, they left about an hour ago. That little fella was very naughty and din't want to sleep at all. He kept crying and will only stop when someone talks to him. He absolutely loves it when someone is there to talk to him. He will keep very still and stare right in your eyes as if being hypnotized.
Seems that maternity instinct has hit hard on me lately. Love playing with kids nowadays. Can't wait for my brother to have one cos i am so going to pamper my future niece or nephew. Well, can't wait to have of my own too! Haha... :p
My brother and his wife came over for dinner just now and asked if i would like to go ice-skating with them tomorrow. Told them i didn't want to even though i know how to skate. Just that i've been really lazy to go out these days. Besides, i din't want to disturb them as well. He brought home a bottle of Baileys which i intend to open next week. Never mind, he didn't know there's 3 more bottles in the cupboard, hehe.
Went to Woodlands library yesterday to borrow a couple of books. Checked with the national library website and Woodland is the nearest branch that have it. It's an autobiography on and by Vladimir Putin, president of Russia and the other book, on Hitler.

Watched Batman Begins last night with my mum, 4th aunt and her husband. It was a damn super boring movie, i actually slept through some parts of the movie. I guess the highlight of the movie was seeing my 3rd uncle appearing in the show. We all laughed when we saw him.
I love it when 3rd uncle comes to Singapore. He's charismatic and is such a joker. He'll be coming to S'pore again this saturday from KL to let me see the wedding video clips which he recorded with the video-cam i bought together with him. He'll be flying off to China on the same day again then back to Ireland. Damn! I'm starting to miss everybody already!

Just came back from Malaysia yesterday. We held another wedding dinner for my bro over there as most of my relatives and my only surviving grandma are staying there. It was also a class gathering for my mum and her class of 1970 friends.
I'll probably upload the photos sometime this weekend. Those photos are taken by me, not the professional. That's why some of them are rather blur. The ones taken by the photographer will be collected after the newly weds come back from their honeymoon.
Met a distant relative for the first time at the Malaysia dinner and thought he was a pretty nice guy. Took a few glances at him cos he look really like another cousin of mine and i think he caught me looking at him. Eeek! We were only introduced to each other after dinner. He came up to me and introduced himself as Sunny, mum then later explained our relationship. In a way, we're cousins. He's my mum's cousin sister's grandson. Pretty confusing. We chatted with each other after the dinner, he's 24 and currently studying in US for his Masters. We talked abit about the past when we were still little kids and my cousins and I will go to his house and play, but that was very very long ago. A nice decent guy, but don't think we'll be able to meet again. *sigh*

Yup.. it's the big day tomorrow! Finally after 28 years, my brother is getting married! My sis-in-law, Letty, family members and relatives arrived from Hong Kong and USA yesterday and came over to my place for a visit. Even her granny who is 82, and still very strong and healthy came. There were about 20 of them who came. My 3rd uncle arrived from Ireland yesterday too. Since the house was so crowded, i went out with him to get a video-cam. By the way, this uncle of mine has a role in the upcoming Batman movie, so my whole family is gonna watch to support him! More relatives will be coming later. Cousins, aunties, uncles, nephews. Can't wait to see them all!

My cousin gave birth to a baby boy a week ago and that little boy is such a cutie!! Have been going to her house for the past few days to play with him. His parents still haven't given him a name yet, but my cousin intend to get him a Irish name. Among the choices, I find "Aidan" sounds kinda nice.

Had dinner with a few of my ex secondary school classmates on monday together with my sec 1 & 2 teacher Mrs Lee, and her 2 sons over at Rice Table. SooLing, Louis, Bai Li and Yuxiang all came to have dinner before the 2 guys enter for NS in June. Mrs Lee's 2 sons, Ernest and Matthew are so cute. All they know are Spiderman and "Scissors, paper, stone." Louis was their so-called "nanny", bringing them to the loo whenever they need to pee and playing with them. Both boys were so fascinated with camera phones till they almost spoil Louis's phone. Could see he was really worried by the way the boys played with the phone.
We chatted about our days in Nan Hua and Mrs Lee updated us on the latest happenings in the school and also on teachers who have taught us. Miss Norita left school and married a Australian and is currently in China, where her husband is based, teaching english over there. I think the others are still teaching. Bai Li's currently studying in SIM and still as happy and chatty as ever, while Yuxiang is waiting to enter NS. He'll be migrating to Australia after army since his mum has a restaurant over there and will probably study in Sydney Uni. He told us he quit smoking which all of us thought was really fantastic. Ling came back from her europe trip not long ago and will be leaving for Thailand soon again. Louis just had his flea market over at Zouk. Apparently, his things weren't selling very well.
Yuxiang sent Mrs Lee and her kids home with Bai Li accompanying him in the car. Me, Louis sat in Ling's car and were supposed to meet up with the other 2 at Holland V. But Ling decided to follow them instead. Went to Tango's for some drinks since one of our friend was working on that day. She recommended me their margarita which i thought was ok only. Maybe because i wasn't feeling well on that day. Chatted for a few hrs and Yuxiang kindly drove me and Bai Li home.
It was nice seeing friends like Bai Li and Yuxiang again. Haven't seen each other for so long. Hope to have some gathering someday again...

Liverpool Football Club - 2005 Champions League Winner.

I had a sleepless night last night. Why? Because the football club that i've been supporting for for the past 10 years, Liverpool Football Club, won the Champions League. Oh God, no words could describe the feelings that me and my brother had. It was the first time both of us watched The Reds play in the Champions League finals as it has been 21 years ago that they won the last of their 4 European Cups. But yesterday's match has got to be the best finals ever in history. By half time, we were 3-0 behind AC Milan. Honestly at that point of time, my brother and I thought it would be really difficult for us to catch up. During half-time, I prayed. Prayed that The Reds will catch up and probably win 4-3, jus like what the Reds army chanted at Ataturk stadium at half-time. "We're gonna win 4-3!"
My prayers were answered when we came back in the 2nd half and scored 3 goals within 6 minutes through Gerrard, Smicer and Alonso. I cannot believe it. All within 6 minutes!! Yes, Milan outplayed The Reds at 1st half, and yes, they have world class players. Even Rui Costa was on the bench for heaven's sake. Who do we have? Maybe only Steven Gerrard or Alonso. BUT we have Rafael Benitez, The Genius. His tactical change at half-time really changed everything. We are back in full force! Full time and the score's 3-3. We went into extra time of 30 mins. Oh God... the match was getting damn exciting! I prayed that either team score and settle the match once and for all because i din't dare to watch penalty shoot out. Milan almost scored. Our heart was at the throat and I thought that was the end of Liverpool. But Dudek made a magnificent save. Players were getting tired and some were getting cramps, still they fought on. Yes.. final whistle blown. Still 3-3. Ok, penalty! Me and bro were sitting side by side, our arms around each other's shoulders in a display of unity as the players step up to take the kick. There were butterflies in my stomach and my brother told me i was shaking badly. All he said to me was, "Have faith."
We were leading 3-2 in the shoot out. It was a good sign for us. As Milan's Shevchenko came forward, i thought oh God... if he miss this, we are going to be the champion. I was already in tears since the start of the shoot out. I stopped breathing for a moment as he kicked the ball..... DUDEK SAVED THE BALL!!! LIVERPOOL WON!!! Bro and I jumped up from our seats and we hugged each other, jumping up and down saying "We won! We won!" I couldn't control my tears of joy. I was too happy for words. We clapped as each Liverpool player came on stage. Seeing Gerrard lift the cup was such an emotional scene. Credits goes out to manager, Rafa Benitez. The man who came to Liverpool for only 1 season and changed everything. Right now, all Liverpool fans shall await the results whether Liverpool can enter the champions league next season as we finished 5th in the table. Meanwhile, the celebration continues as both me and bro shall wear our jerseys out today. The day belongs to The Reds.

Accompanied my bro to shopping on saturday after dropping by at my aunt's house. Was hunting for a suit for him and we found the perfect one over at Paragon. While on our way home in the MRT, my brother noticed a man was leaning very closely to a young girl's back. I too, noticed that something was amissed as his standing position was really awkward. At that time, i was leaning against the glass panel against the door and the girl was standing just right next to me. I wrote a message in my phone telling her to stand next to me as the man behind her was up to no good. I showed her the message and she was so scared, she quickly stood next to me and my brother. She told me the man had been following her and her 2 friends ever since they boarded the train and had been standing very closely to her. It wasn't pick-pocketing but rather a case of molesting. His groin was so damn close to her butt! The man alighted after a few stops, knowing that his chance preying on the young girl was shattered. Beware ladies!

Went shopping yesterday over at Isetan and Tangs. Both started their sales a few weeks before the Great Singapore Sale. Signed up for the Isetan privilege card and bought some clothes which i badly needed. Got 2 handbags over at Tangs, thought they were pretty cheap for such nice looking bags. Only $90 for 2! Bought a couple of tops from Zara and books from Borders.
Finished reading 'Sam's Letters To Jennifer' by James Patterson this morning. I desperately held back my tears while reading it in the train and bus while on my way home. It was soooo sad... but i cried lots when i was in bed reading it. Shall start the next one by Sidney Sheldon and then John Grisham. Boy do I love thriller books!!
Geesh.... suddenly my mind's back to shopping again. It's shoes this time round.

I'm getting lazier and fatter day by day. I had McDonald's Hotcakes with Sasauge meal twice this week. What's really surprising was i actually woke up at 7am and walked to the nearest outlet to get my hands on it. Had ice-kachang and chendol and Old Chang Kee's fried stuffs like nobody's business too. *Sob* I really hate to admit this, but i think i AM getting fat. My staminar has gone down too. Used to jog about 1o rounds at the park downstairs but now it's only 5 rounds.
Ok, i shall have no more junk food until my brother's wedding. Promise.

Oh, and don't you just love it when you can surf the net for free?! I just realised i can receive wireless network in my room thanks to some friendly neighbour. =)

I am so damn bloody broke now. Thought i could splurge for the coming Great Singapore Sale. Guess i'll be staying quietly at home while the other ladies are out shopping their hearts out. Went shopping at Orchard yesterday and bought some MAC cosmectics (3 eye-shadows and a lipstick which i later found out that i already had the same colour back home), earings and yup... a pair of Birkenstock. Ah... finally my feet will not be in torture anymore. Met Alena while over at Wheelocks. She look damn classy and was told that she just got back from her holiday in New York not long ago. Damn... NEW YORK!!! I am dying to get my ass there man!

I guess there will be more shopping this weekend with mum. Went Orchard on sunday with mum hunting for my dress for my bro's wedding. I really hate shopping when you have nothing in mind on what to buy. Mum accompanied me to the Takashimaya and Wisma looking for it but none were suitable for me. I happened to like one from Bebe but they din't have my size and the price was steep. Darn. Mum eventually gave up on me and left me alone wondering in Orchard while she went for her manjong session. I continued to Tangs, Far East Plaza(for jeans and tees) and to Paragon. Took cab home from there cos i wore my not-so-high heels. Before i left home, i thought there wouldn't be any problem wearing them, even mum asked me whether i felt comfortable walking around while we were at City Hall. I said, "Ok lah, it's not that high wad. I have another pair which is higher." -_- The thought of having to stand all the way from Orchard mrt station to Boon Lay made me wanted to cry. Taking a cab was definetely the only choice.
I guess i better save up and get a pair of Birkinstock and wear them wherever i go, just like how Aunty Molly does.
Might be going Holland V with mum later to get some accessories.

Was sick for the past 2 days. Down with high fever of 38.5 degrees and cough. What's worst was i fell sick on the day of my brother's wedding food-tasting at the hotel. I was basically forcing myself eating the first 5 dishes. After that, that's it. I did not touch any of the food as the fever and sore throat was killing me. Bro invited Ben along. Wah.. that teacher's more good looking than before. No wonder my aunty who was sitting beside me asked me how come i was not interested in him. Ok i gotta admit, Ben's a very very nice guy, good looking and my parents like him too. BUT, he is my brother's friend and besides, i think he's attached. So yea... that'll explains why i am NOT interested. In fact, i was more interested in the chef when he came out later to ask us for our opinion on the dishes. Haha.. a very good looking chef! =)

Celebrated Joyce's 21st birthday on saturday over at Heritage View condo at Dover. It was a birthday cum class gathering occasion. However, only half the class turned up. Nonetheless, it was still nice seeing them again. Haven't met some of them for 3 years, but they still looked the same though. Joyce invited one of her primary sch friend and he came alone, so she brought him over to our table and introduced him to us. When i looked up, *gasp* it was George!! Haha.. we seemed kinda surprised seeing each other. He was alone most of the time cos he came alone and there was no one around to talk. I only talked to him abit as i was busily interacting with my ex-classmates. Realised that there were actually a few of his ex-classmates but he's just so shy to talk.
We left after eating the birthday cake. Since Sooling happened to be driving, she brought me, Jasmine and cuishan over to her new house over at Bukit Timah. Sad to day the gates were locked and we could only stand outside and view it. That place is huge. Ling said her house is the smallest one over at that particular district. I looked around and kinda agree with her. She counts a very well known hair saloon/spa owner and a particular European ambassador as her neighbour. So you roughly imagine how big those houses are. Ling then drove us to see Zoe Tay house too! Hehe... very nice indeed.

Went shopping with mum yesterday after church. Went to Centrepoint but couldn't find what she wanted. So we headed to Holland V and yep... finally saw what we thought was nice and she bought it. She spent near to $300 on it. When we got home, she told me she regretted buying it because it is too black and decided not to wear it anymore. -_-" Btw, she have also bought a gown but decided NOT to wear it as well. *Sigh*

Went to Temasek School of Design graduation show on saturday over at Timberlux centre for Jasmine and Louis's graduation show. Saw Jasmine's fashion show which was in the morning at 11:30am. The show was alright. Her clothes were well designed and her models looked pretty. Aloysius designs were fantastic. He scored A+ and was interviewed by reporters after the show. Real talented fella. He appeared in today's Life! newspaper section too! (Page 2)
Louis works were pretty okay too, doing something on jargon. He's in Interactive media design. Can check out his website HERE.
After the whole thing, Jasmine, Sooling, me, cuishan and qianyu went over to Somerset to return the fashion accessories for the show. Realised that the shop sell some real good stuffs! Had lunch over there and were discussing where to go for the next 7 hrs cos we wanted to go Zouk at night since we had invites for it. Jasmine went home to change while the rest of us went over to Ling's house. Watched tv and played wif her dog, Beemer. That german sheperd is one hella'va horny dog!! Haha!! Jas came in the evening and Ling drove us somewhere near her place for dinner. Went back to her place again to watch Miss Singapore Universe cos 1 of Jasmine's friend was in it. (Jeannie Fong... she managed to get into the top 10) Ling's mum is probably the friendliest mum i ever met. She came into the room and chit-chat wif us, allow us into her room to watch tv, eat and er... use her Osim i-squeeze. Haha.. by the time the show ended, it was already 9:30pm and in the end we decided not to go Zouk. Headed to 'Settlers' over at Holland V but it was full house!!! (It's a new cafe whereby you can play all sorts of board games they provide over there) Went over to Essential Brew instead to have some finger food and tea. Chit-chatted until 2am then went home. Lots to talk about since i haven't met up with them for quite sometime. Might be meeting up this saturday evening again for Joyce's 21st birthday. Sigh... but i'll be going to Pulau Ubin in the morning!!

I'm into jogging lately and and my family seemed to be very shocked at it. Yeah... not surprising considering the fact that i used to jog once every year. Ha! BUT... i've been jogging twice in this week alone. *Feeling kinda proud now. Haha!* If my calculation's right, i would've jogged 74 times by the end of the year if i were to continue running twice every week. Went jogging alone this evening around my area and it was great! Just came to realise that there are actually a couple of cute guys running around too. Haha. I shall continue with it next week, probably in the morning next time round.
Ever since mum came back from her primary and secondary school gathering last month, she's been checking her mails more often than before and is even into chatroom now. She has joined this yahoo group that her ex-classmates had set up and has been chatting ever since. Can't blame her for that since it's been 30 over years since she last saw them. Talking about gathering, i was supposed to be at my primary school BBQ gathering now, organized by Petrina. Peizhen couldn't make it cos she's working so i din't bother to go since she's the only one i still kept in contact with. Feelingl kinda bad cos i haven't been attending my pri sch gatherings for years. Next time... i guess, provided they still remember me and invite me. Wahaha!

Came back from Mosaic Music Festival (again) not too long ago. Watch Tortoise performance with Gaoxiang and it was sooo damn bloody good! Though the music was kinda deafening, we enjoyed it thoroughly. Opening act was by our country's very own, The Observatory. They put up a pretty good performance too, playing tracks from their latest album. But of course the main highlight was Tortoise from USA. They came on stage without saying anything and started straight with their first song. I managed to record some of the songs onto my MP3 player, but sad to say, i can't hear a shit. It was tooo loud. They had 2 percussionist and last count was that 1 of them had 3 sticks flew into the audience cos he played too hard. Well, am downloading some of their songs right now as i'm typing this. I absolutely love them!!
Their music is rather unique, genres include Krautrock, dub, avant-garde jazz, classical minimalism, ambient and space music, film music and British electronica. Well, it was simply awesome. However, quite a number of people actually left half-way through the performance. I guess they din't really like this kinda genre of music. I honestly have to admit it was kinda LOUD especially since they had 2 drummers. Sad thing was even though it was loud, the guy sitting on my right still managed to sleep through 40% of the show. Why on earth do i always have to sit beside men who sleeps at such high adrenaline performance? Wanted to stay back after the performance to get their autographs but then decided to go over to Harry's Bar to get some drinks since the queue for the autograph session was rather long.
Had 2 drinks, Heineken pint and the bar's signature cocktail, Chinatown. Gaoxiang treated me for the performance and the Heineken while i paid for our cocktails. He had The Green Room another signature drink which tasted a little bit like medicine though.
It's 2am now, but i still can't sleep. Stomach's feeling abit bloated from the drinks.... or maybe i haven't gotten over the concert yet, haha. Was supposed to get the Mosaic landyard for Eugene but it was completely sold out. What a waste, wanted to get one for myself too. But this also proves that this Mosaic Music Festival is a success. Just checked that tommorow's performance at the concert hall is completely sold out already. I can't wait for the festival next year! I wanna go again!!!

What a night yesterday!! Went to the Mosaic Music Festival for the full house London Community Gospel Choir performance and it was fantastic! Just checked the website and it was the only performance that is completely full house. Really love every single song they sang and they've got everyone onto their feets grooving to the songs. I clapped till both my hands were sore. We were asked to sing Amazing Grace and Swing Low, Sweet Chariot along with them with some actions to follow for the latter. Everyone really enjoyed themselves maybe except for the uncle sitting beside me. He's such a spoiler. He slept through almost 85% of the concert. With such high energy performance with the singers screaming their lungs out and he still can sleep. Wake up lah, uncle!!! Oh yah, one more thing... his breathe stinks to the core!! He burped and the foul smell somehow "floated" to my side. Fwah... i nearly puke. Anyway, i think the performance towards the end was the best. Everyone were on their feet, clapping, grooving and singing away. They ended the show about 40 mins late cos everybody wanted more. Haha.. was really, really hungry after the show so Eugene and i went for supper over at Raffles City Carfe Cartel. Ahh.... can't wait for next year's Mosaic Music Festival. Meanwhile.... i shall anticipate for tomorrow's Tortoise performance, also at the concert hall. Managed to drag Gaoxiang to go with me. =p

Just came back not long ago from Chua Chu Kang's Lot 1 shopping mall. Went to the Sistic outlet over there to buy a pair of tickets to Mosaic Music Festival over at Esplanade. Yipeeee!! I'll be going with Eugene for the "London Community Gospel Choir" performance tomorrow. Am thinking of going for "Tortoise" performance as well. Hehe.. can't wait to get my ass over at the grand concert hall!!

Went out Gaoxiang and Louis yesterday to China Square for the flea market. Not many stuffs over there now ever since they shifted over from Clarke Quay. After that went to explore the area around China Square. All i remember was we walked alot yesterday and i really mean ALOT!! Thank goodness i was wearing sandals. Saw lots of pubs and bars and Louis pointed to us one of the gays club there. Came upon this really nice boutique hotel, The Scarlet. Walked over to Maxwell market to have some juice as everyone was nearly dying of thirst. Were chit chatting and then decided to have dinner over at Clarke Quay. Stopped outside Forbidden City and looked at their menu, but it was out of our budget. So we decided to settle it at Brewerkz. Ordered a jug of their best seller beer. It tasted pretty good. Louis only drank 1/4 of his share as he was drunk the night before at Zouk and his tummy was still not well. Decided to take a stroll after dinner, walked over to Gallery Hotel as Lou wanted to check out the room rates. Decided to go Coco Latte for more drinks but it was close. We didn't know why it was closed. We figured we were too early, 9pm actually, but still it should be open cos Soundbar over at The Liquid Room was operating. Never mind, we continued to walk and Lou pointed the warehouse where he and Jasmine will be showing off their graduation works. Will be there either on the 1st or 2nd April. Reached Zouk and.... eeek!! Not open! Sigh... damn disappointed. Decided to walked over to Great World City to have TCC instead. Day ended at 1030pm for us.

Chee Chong drove over to my place on friday night to pass me my belated birthday present. He, Rong Sheng and Brian bought me a Creative Muvo Slim MP3 player. I like it alot!! Thank you all!! =)
Oh yea... just heard from a friend today that Nicholas is happily attached. I am sooo going to keep myself busy from now on. I don't want to think about it anymore.

I am alone in this cold and messy project room of mine right now. Everyone is gone cos their panel review is over. I am leaving too, but not so soon. Panel review sucked big time. Aaron was not here because of medical checkup at CMPB. Everyone's saying that he chose this date on purpose to escape the review. SUCKER!! Meeting up with Gaoxiang for lunch at Holland V later. Haven't seen him for a very long time. Er.. 2 years i think, and that was at Cuishan's birthday over at Millenia Walk. That guy ORD already, everyday just shake leg, play computer and playstation at home. Haha..only got to chat with him just a few days ago after he added me in MSN. I was surprised that he still remembered so many things about me. Haha.. like i still support Liverpool and bite my nails. Ha.. actually i no longer bite them but recently the habit came back as i was feeling kinda stress. We were classmates for 2 years. Me, him, Sooling, Louis and Peh Li used to be 1 gang. An expert in games and computer stuffs, he told me if i need any lobangs on games can go find him. Hmm... i wonder if his dad still owns the watch shop at Holland V shopping centre. Anyway, will blog later tonight IF only i have the time.
Haven't been sleeping well for the past few days and slept for only 4 hours yesterday. I need at least 7 hrs of sleep. Anyway, i'm finally free from all my work!! Right now, it's my exams that i'm looking forward to. RFME is a killer!!! I guess i'm off to the library in a moment to slack. =)

HAPPY 57th BIRTHDAY DAD!!

Dad is 57 years old today. Very old, compared to most of my friends dads. He's been feeling very stress lately over some work and family problems. My family is going through some problems right now, not among ourselves but with some relatives. I myself am quite sad and disappointed over whatever that's happening now. But i guess it's just a case of misunderstanding. Mummy's been fuming over these matters. She called me while i was in class today wanting to talk about the matters but i was in the middle of my class presentation. Called her after class and heard some news that i din't expected. Dad's in a difficult position right now and so is my brother actually. Hope this misunderstanding can be resolve soon.

3 reports and 2 presentations down and 1 more panel review to go tomorrow. This whole week has been a rather stressful and hectic one. I've been out for the past 2 weekends doing all these reports and presentations. Interdisiplinary Studies is a waste of time. Not that i do not like I.S, in fact i love it more than my core subjects, but there are too many reports and presentations and to make things worse, you end up being in a group who always do last minute job. Today's MQE and WISP presentation was okay even though the later was a last minute job. The lecturers were kinda pleased with all our work. MQE was kinda fun today. One of Nick's group member, Gordon, is a freak!! That guy is weird! The way he speaks is so damn funny, very tamil-like and even Mr Kuek was laughing away. After my group finished presenting, he suddenly came up to me and said one of our slides happened to be similar and that the other slides are different. Duh! So what if tat 1 slide is the same and aren't we suppose to have different slides since we're not in the same group?! Gosh... what the hell was he thinking?!!
After today's class, it appears that me and Nick are not as cold towards each other as before. We managed to talked abit and laughed over Gordon. Ok, I hereby confess that i like him.

I love Mondays! My classes are kinda slack for the day and..... of course, there got to be a better reason! Well we finally talked to each other today. Am really glad that we're no longer treating each other like strangers, which i gotta say was really weird. Chatted abit on msn just now. Nothing much, was mainly on project stuffs and all.

I just realised it's my blog 1 year anniversary. "Happy Birthday, Spinnerbait"! =)

Don't know why but i'm kinda into GQ magazine now. Guys out there, you should read it cos it's a bloody men magazine that i'm into now. Don't get me wrong... but i love the men catwalks section. Ha! You can easily find this mag in NP library cos nobody reads them. What a waste. It's one of the top men mag in US. The latest one that NP have is displayed at the shelves near the stack of "badly expired" 8-days mags and the whole stack of GQ is kept on the shelf above the "Her World" magazines. Haha... i guess even with my description like this, no one's gonna be bothered to read them anyway. Read one article from their website and it was reported that David Beckham bought a pair of diamond studs for 25,000 pounds for his eldest son, Brooklyn, 6th birthday. That little brat totally worships his dad and decided to follow his footsteps by donning the earings instead of football. Don't need to try for a baby girl, David and Victoria. I think Brooklyn is soon to be one. Hmm.. hey, maybe they can buy a sarong for little Brooklyn since David wore that before. Or, how about letting little Brooklyn wear his mummy's thongs since his daddy wore that too! Haha...

Went shopping this afternoon with Weixiong and bought myself 2 pairs of shoes from ALDO. One casual sandals and the other a pair of strappy heels. Wore the sandals straight away and boy did i regret it!! Both feets are full of bandaids now as my blisters have became infected. Friction blisters as they call it and i absolutely hate them! Probably gonna take weeks to heal i think.
Spent alot today. (feeling very guilty already) Went around turning capsules machines hoping to get "Mr Toufu" and "Nightmare Before Christmas" figurines. Went to Suntec, PS, Heeren, Wheelocks and Forum just to find the later but to no avail. Wasted my bloody time... I'm tired now and shall head to bed. Am prepared to get scolding from my supervisor later in about 9 hrs time. *sigh*

Bought some t-shirts from Esprit just now. Spent about $72 on 3 of them. Come to think of it, it was quite cheap. Upon payment, i was told my Esprit Privilege Card (EPC) has expired, so i got it renewed. The new EPC will expire this coming december and the membership will automatically be renewed if the accumulated purchase in Singapore reaches S$1000. It's freaking $1000!! How on earth will i be able to accumulate to that amount?! Anyone who wants to buy anything from Esprit please borrow the card from me can?!! Else i have to spend $300 in a single receipt again just to get the EPC.
Received my UOB visa debit mini card few days ago and it's so cute!! =)

Dad and mummy have been complaining to me about bro's wedding preparation. I gotta say bro is really taking things easily and he expects my parents to be helping him out in everything. The wedding's in about 3 months time and so many stuffs not settled yet.
Mummy's been pretty weird these few days. She's into match-making all of a sudden and the victim? Me. Well it's not really match-making lah, just tat i've been single and she's afraid that i'll be left on the shelf (haha!!). Lately she met up with some distant relatives and came to know some of their sons whom she thinks have met her "standards". But, they are all foreigners. Thai-chinese, Indonesian-chinese... blah, blah, blah. Sorry, not interested!! "Singapore flavour" suits me best. =)

I realised i haven't been blogging as much as before. Read through my archives and there will be times whereby there will be 3 posts in a day! I guess i'm tonning down a little now.

Went to Pulau Tekong for a BMT visit yesterday organised by the school. Only half of the 40 students selected turned up and i was the only girl from my course who went. (The others din't want to go) There were some students from other courses as well and in all there were about 200 students from NP. ( And about 200 from SP) We were all excused from our 1-5pm class just for this trip where we get to see boys turning into real men. The ferry ride to Tekong took about 10 mins and thank goodness they were fully air-conditioned. Good for you guys. The buildings were really nice and they look like chalets.
We were all later led to an auditorium to watch a video clip and a darn boring talk by an officer. Guocai who was sitting on my left, slept with his mouth wide open while Yixian on my right, was trying very hard to keep himself awake throughout the 20 mins clip. Both din't sleep the night before as they were rushing through their reports. After that, we were all split into 4 groups each being assigned to different viewing stations. I was in a different group from "him" cos he was sitting with the others at the other end. Damn! Anyway, our 1st stop was the multi-purpose hall where they hold the IPPT. There were about 4 fitness instructors demonstrating all the stations to us. I had my eyes glued on one of them and Daryl was his name. Haha! He was the one in charge of the chin up. Oh my goodness. Not only is he good looking, he is also so damn fit! He was later asked by an instructor to take off his singlet to show us how the back muscles will look like while doing chin-ups. Wah!! I nearly fainted. Haha... All soldiers are now equipped with a card and whenever they are at a station, they will place the card into the electronic sensor to begin their station. All countings are done electronically. Pretty cool.
2nd stop was IMT, some night vision shooting thing. Girls were grouped seperately from the guys and i joined those Ah Lians from Banking and Finance at the other end. I got to shoot with the M-16 since some of the Ah Lians were too pai-seh. Hehe... and i got to shoot twice!! I thought i did badly the first time and asked the soldier if i've missed alot. He said i did pretty well and asked if i would like to shoot again. Heh.
3rd stop was to visit the bunk. I was so ashamed when i walked into the room. It was so damn freaking clean!! Ok, I shall make my bed every morning from now on..... ha! Joking lah. That will NEVER happen. Last stop was to listen to some talk about the items that the boys will be getting when they're in the army. Menu for the food ration, anti - landmine boots, uniform... etc. After the talk we were given samples of the food. It tasted pretty good actually. (Or was it bcos we were hungry??)
The visit ended at about 1730hrs and left for mainland. All of us were dropped off at Expo to take our own transport home. Was a long jounrney home for me and guocai. Boon Lay!
Was feeling extremely tired at night, then i had some mouths of Tiger from mummy's can to get me totally knocked out. Ahh... had 10 hrs of precious sleep.

I smsed him this morning wishing him all the best for the final panel review. He smsed back thanking me and asked me to pray for him,which i did. He came into my room after his review together with his friends to look for Habib. I have no idea what is wrong with me but whenever i see him, i have the knotted feelings in my stomach. We did took a few glances over at each other at Tekong but it seemed that neither of us wants to make the first move to talk. Anyway, things aren't looking well after reading some stuffs that i din't wish to know.
